How long can I store the meals for?

As our meals are free from preservatives, we recommend consuming them as soon as possible. Dishes are best consumed within one month from the date of receipt/purchase. Always ensure the meals are stored safely and appropriately in the freezer.

How do I reheat?

You may use any form of reheating for the dishes such as double-boiling, steaming, microwaving, and on the stovetop. As every appliance differs, adjustments to the reheating time may be required.

Here are some guidelines:
Microwave:
- For dishes:
Reheat for 3-5 minutes on medium-high. Note that different appliances may require adjustments to the time.
- For finger foods:
Reheat in increments of 15 seconds. The usual sweet spot is between 30-45 seconds on medium-high.

Double-boiling / Steamer:
Steam around 10-15 minutes until thoroughly hot (not just warm).

Stovetop:
Recommended to reheat from a defrosted state in the fridge. Cover with a lid to distribute heat evenly. Heat around 5-7 minutes until the food is thoroughly hot.

Air Fryer:
Not recommended to reheat dishes. For finger foods, heat around 3-5 minutes until the food is thoroughly hot.

What if I want to travel? How can I store the meal?

Use a well-insulated cooler bag with sufficient ice gel/ice packs; keep travel time under 6 hours max. Roughly 2-4 hours depending on quantity, under 8 tubs holds for about 2 hours, larger quantities hold cold longer (3-4 hours). Freeze again as soon as possible.

On arrival, ask your accommodation to store the whole cooler bag in their central freezer (not just loose tubs, to avoid cross-contamination)

Check if your accommodation offers reheating help or has a microwave/stove available

For meals on the go, transfer reheated food into a reliable thermos or lunchbox to keep it warm until mealtime.

Frequently asked question

1. What is BLW (baby-led weaning)?

Baby-led weaning (BLW) is an approach to starting solids where your baby feeds themselves safely-textured whole foods — table foods — right from the start, instead of being spoon-fed purees. It supports oral motor development, the pincer grasp, and jaw strength, all through self-feeding at their own pace. "Table foods" simply means foods that aren't specifically pureed for babies — age-appropriate versions of what the rest of the family eats, prepared and cut safely for a beginner.

Plate & Play was built around this approach: as Singapore's first halal baby-led weaning brand, our BLW meals for starting solids are textured, sized, and cut for self-feeding from 6 months, so you don't have to research safe textures alone.

Not sure if your baby's ready, or which texture to start with? Take our free 60-second quiz, or message us — we're happy to talk it through.

2. How can I get my baby meals?

You can order online here — choose doorstep delivery (1–2 days), self-collection, or arrange your own courier pickup.

Prefer to shop in person? Just walk in — we're open 10am–7pm daily.

3. Which meals are suitable for my little one?

Plate & Play covers the whole journey: baby meals for starting solids from 6 months, baby-led weaning (BLW) meals with textured food, and toddler meals for fuss-free mealtimes, plus a selection of ready-to-heat meals for older kids.

As one of Singapore's halal baby food brands, every dish is made in our SFA-licensed halal kitchen, with no added salt or sugar: clean, ready-to-heat, frozen baby meals delivered straight to your door.

All dishes are suitable from 6 months, unless a listing says otherwise.

Infant and Toddler tubs differ by portion size, so pick based on your child's actual appetite:

⭐Infant portions (roughly 6–12 months) -sized for babies starting solids or newer to BLW meals. If your baby is just beginning, one Infant portion often stretches across two to three servings.

⭐Toddler portions (roughly 13–24 months) - our most popular healthy toddler meals. Smaller eaters aged 2- 3 years old are usually well served by these too.

⭐Kid meals - a smaller, ready-made selection for older children (4-6 years old) who still want the same no-added-salt, no-added-sugar approach.

If you're after the best baby food in Singapore for a specific stage, whether it’s starting solids, diving into BLW, or needing a break from cooking baby meals from scratch — explore our menu and get ready to simply plate, and play!

We recommend buying based on your child's actual appetite, not just their age — every child eats differently, and that's normal.

4. How should I portion, store and reheat the meals?

Our frozen baby meals and toddler meals are made to be simple!

To portion for early eaters: Split the frozen meal into halves or thirds depending on your little one's appetite, so you're only thawing what you'll actually use.

To store: Keep meals frozen until you're ready to eat. Because every tub is free from added salt and preservatives, storing it right matters.

To reheat: Our ready-to-heat toddler meals and baby meals work in a microwave, on the stovetop, in a steamer. Our finger-food selections reheat great via air-fryer or microwave. Our fruit purees may be consumed chilled from the fridge (best thawed overnight from freezer) if preferred.

A physical full reheating instruction card comes with every order, so there's no guesswork at mealtime!
